Biography :
Melissa Donnahoe | REALTOR® • Real Estate Instructor • Investor • Community Leader
For Melissa Donnahoe, real estate has always been about more than buying and selling property. It is about understanding the business, protecting the people involved, and helping clients make smart, informed decisions.
A longtime South Florida real estate professional, Melissa brings a unique combination of experience to every transaction. Before becoming a REALTOR®, she worked as a real estate paralegal and was involved in hundreds of residential and commercial closings. She later became a Broker-Owner, building and operating her own real estate brokerage before making the decision to transition back into a role that allows her to focus more of her time on the parts of the business she enjoys most which is working directly with clients, teaching, mentoring, and staying actively involved in the real estate industry.
Melissa is also a licensed Florida real estate instructor and regularly teaches real estate professionals on topics ranging from contracts and compliance to continuing education and professional development. She believes education makes better agents and, ultimately, creates a better experience for consumers.
Her experience extends beyond traditional residential real estate. Melissa is an active real estate investor with experience in residential, multifamily, commercial and international real estate, giving her a practical understanding of property ownership from both the agent's and investor's perspective.
Deeply involved in the profession, Melissa serves as a Florida Realtors® Director and has participated in numerous local and state REALTOR® committees focused on professional development, education, government affairs and industry standards. She is also a graduate of the Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors® Leadership Academy.
Melissa's involvement extends well beyond real estate. A longtime Coral Springs resident, she serves on the City of Coral Springs Planning & Zoning Board and is actively involved with local nonprofit and community organizations. Community service has become an important part of both her personal and professional life.
Clients appreciate Melissa's straightforward, approachable style. She believes people deserve honest advice, even when that advice isn't necessarily what they expected to hear. Whether she is helping someone sell a longtime home, guiding a buyer through a purchase, evaluating an investment opportunity or teaching a classroom of real estate professionals, her goal is the same: make complicated things easier to understand and help people make confident decisions.
When she isn't working or teaching, Melissa enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with their family and dogs, and staying involved in the South Florida community she has called home for many years.
